Job Description

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Labor and Employment practice. The firm represents a broad range of public and nonprofit clients, including cities, counties, special districts, universities, state agencies, joint powers authorities, and nonprofit organizations.

The practice encompasses labor and employment law, workplace investigations, and advice and counseling on a wide range of employment-related issues. Attorneys also have exposure to matters involving government operations, transportation, and environmental considerations as they intersect with employment law.

This role includes handling employment litigation in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and administrative proceedings. Responsibilities also include conducting and supporting workplace investigations, delivering client trainings, and providing strategic, practical advice on compliance and risk management issues.

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills required
  • Demonstrated interest in labor and employment law
  • Prior experience in employment litigation or related areas is a plus, but not required
